TCB has been in business for over 20 years. Our core competency is software development and maintenance and we have built up an impressive portfolio of clients and systems. Packages include an Online Legislation Information System, over 40 Employee Benefit Plan administration systems (a number of them for FTSE top 100 clients), an innovative, integrated eCommerce solution (eStore), and Grassroots, an HR and offshore payroll package for the Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar jurisdictions paying some 10,000 staff per month. TCB has also supplied a variety of fulfilment system solutions to a number of organisations in the online retail and fulfilment space operating in the Channel Islands.
Ascent Software was set up in 2003 by Joseph Sultana, the company's managing director, and Dr John Abela, director and CTO. Ascent Software is a software development house that operates from Malta and has partners and affiliates in Jersey, London and the Caribbean. We have successfully delivered projects in Europe, the Channel Islands, the Caribbean, North America, and the Middle East.
In 2010, TCB successfully completed the acquisition of Itex’s Business Solutions department, bringing on board some exceedingly experienced staff members and providing a seamless transition for their clients. TCB acquired all of Itex's intellectual property, software, projects, clients, contracts and packages increasing the breadth and depth of our offering to the market.
Through its partner network, Ascent has been working on complex projects for important companies and institutions in the Channel Islands. These include large scale projects for Jersey Post, Guernsey Post, JTC Group, Richmond Trust Foundation and many others.
Trident Pooling, a cash management and treasury software was being launched in Jersey and Guernsey in 2011. The system, initially designed for trusts, has encountered a significant success in the Channel Islands. This led to the development of two additional products: Trident Payments and Bookkeeping which were released in July 2014.
In early 2014, discussions started with Ascent Software about forming a partnership in order to answer the increasing demand for premium software development in the Channel Islands. TCB’s and Ascent’s combined ability in analysis and design means that systems will be built right first time, in a quick and cost-effective manner.
