Ascent Software has announced that it has achieved the Microsoft Gold Collaboration & Content competency. The company says that this demonstrates its ability to meet Microsoft Corp. customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment. To earn a Microsoft Gold competency partners must successfully demonstrate domain expertise. Ascent staff took a number of exams culminating in Microsoft certifications. Ascent also had to provide a number of customer references.
This is not the first time Ascent Software was awarded a Gold competency. This latest competency emphasizes the company’s continued dedication to providing tier-one Microsoft SharePoint solutions to Microsoft customers both locally and worldwide.
“Ascent Software’s SharePoint development team has grown rapidly over the past few years. We have delivered successful solutions in different markets including the Middle East, the Caribbean, the UK, the US and Europe,” said Joseph Sultana, Managing Director of Ascent Software.
Ascent Software’s CTO and director John Abela adds “Microsoft SharePoint is a truly wonderful product. You can do some amazing things with it. However, it is also a complex product and SharePoint developers have to be properly and formally trained. We have invested in SharePoint training and we intend to continue to invest heavily in training in SharePoint and other Microsoft products and technologies”.
“By achieving a Gold competency, organizations have proven their expertise in specific technology areas, placing them among the top 1 percent of Microsoft partners worldwide,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “When customers look for a partner to meet their business challenges, choosing a company that has attained Microsoft competencies is a smart move. These are highly qualified professionals with access to Microsoft technical support and product teams.”
The Microsoft Collaboration and Content competency helps Microsoft-Certified Partners take advantage of the growing services opportunity around SharePoint by demonstrating their ability to offer solutions that connect teams, improve access to information, and increase productivity.
The Microsoft Partner Network helps partners strengthen their capabilities to showcase leadership in the marketplace on the latest technology, to better serve customers and, with 640,000 Microsoft partners in their ecosystem across the various products, to easily connect with one of the most active, diverse networks in the world.
TCB Consulting’s Director Tim Baker concluded “the quality of Ascent’s work speaks for itself when you engage with them. This latest qualification both confirms their standing in the worldwide arena and gives our customers the confidence to make the initial engagement and find out for themselves.”
